It's one thing if there's a give and take ending within reason, but if it ends up just being the biggest win imaginable for the private insurance companies, the bill has to -- and I believe will -- go down.

My Bottom Line
Here it is: I believe the discussion on the public option and/all Medicare for all has been opened and can be returned to, especially if we elect more progressive candidates, i.e. to the Senate. I can live with the reform bill as small a loaf it might be -- but not if the individual mandate stays in and any public assistance is essentially government subsidies mandated to flow into private for-profit companies. (Would feel different if, like the Swiss system as I understand it, it must be non-profit).
It's one thing if there's a give and take ending within reason, but if it ends up just being the biggest win imaginable for the private insurance companies, the bill has to -- and I believe will -- go down.
