Up Against
There's a contrast going on between our man in Europe:
And what he's up against with the North Koreans -- what he's able to get from the international community to condemn them is a first test of his worldwide clout.:
Hmmm...I guess that when Condi and Dr. StrangeCheney said that N Korea had a missile that could reach California they left out the part: "If California was 5000 miles closer to N Korea."
I think it would be important to salvage the remains of the rocket to get an idea of where they might be at.
On another note, what does North Korea need a space program for? Is there some unknown source of food in space? Maybe they should use their money to research better farming techniques instead of bullying the Japanese and South Koreans.
The military is so strong in the North Korean government and throughout society that it's just plain dangerous. Similar to how the military took over Japan prior to WWII and couldn't be controlled by the government. And I agree with the hope that the Japanese or someone retrieved the rocket, and am somewhat amused that it crashed. Ha ha, stupid fascists!

China and Russia should act accordingly.
