Over at Daily Kos, JCWilmore exposes the in-broad-daylight Republican failure-wish, with GOP Leader Limbaugh unable to accredit Obama even as the news came in during his show. Will this ever get a nice underline in the media -- will this ever be a PR disaster for the Republican Party? Per JC learned:

- The Republican Party really is hoping that the United States fails. Often. So much so that we crawl back to the Republicans and beg them to take over the government in 2010 and 2012.
- Because the Republican Party wants the United States to fail, the Republican Party has a vested interest in causing the United States to fail. This perverse incentive can be seen working itself out in the way that Republican talking heads and thought leaders like Limbaugh and Gingrich bet against the United States, predicting our failure before all the facts are in. Limbaugh in particular clearly savors the thought of American failure.
- The Republican Party's leaders are irresponsible. Politics is supposed end at the water's edge. For Republicans like Limbaugh and Gingrich to go on the radio or television and demonstrate that they are hoping for a hostage rescue to fail so they can exploit that failure for political gain is a clear demonstration that the Republican Party and its leaders are unfit to serve as the leaders of our country.

I was shocked that they were hoping it would fail, but then I couldn't find an actual quote where someone actually says they hope it failed. I realize this is an opinion / editorial but isn't there have to be some responsibility to facts?
It's more like he wasn't giving Obama credit for the rescue of the hostage (ship captain). To be honest I'm not giving him much credit either, I am glad though he did eventually OK the rescue attempt (Yay Obama). But I'm giving the credit to the special forces team that planned the rescue. They're the ones responsible for planning and executing the rescue. "Obama refused to let himself be pressured by time, only by when the threat to the captain's life became non-fiction." What if they chose to keep him prisoner? What then?
The bottom line is piracy is a problem in the area, is it the U.S. job to clean this up and go on attack? That's up to Obama, let's see how he plans to continue after this mess has settled. I mean it's not like this is the first incident.
I guess the only question now to be answered is: When are Limbaugh, Gingrich, Boehner, and the fools at Fox finally going to don the foolscap that befits their clownish and ignorant prancing and capering over BHO's supposed shortcomings?
Over and over during the past few weeks we've begun to see a pattern emerge: RWers scream about BHO's "failings and missteps" only to have their nonsense almost immediately blow up and splatter them in the face like a tea-bagging gone wrong:
- Before the G-20, yapping about how the rest of the world perceives BHO as an empty suit; 24 hours later he has the world eating out of his hand and his approval ratings are soaring.
-A full day of nonstop screaming about Michelle's supposedly horrific breach of protocol w/ the Queen; next day we find out the Queen and the Brits love her, and every schoolgirl in GB wants to grow up to be her.
-This latest, Sunday's yammering about the Somali pirates -- a clumsily transparent attempt to blow a small act of piracy into some Earth-shattering crisis on the order of Iran in '79; a mere hours later BHO is being hailed as the liberator of the high seas.
Let's face some facts. The Republican Party hates BHO and hates real Americans. They service the needs of 1% of the public, and spend endless $millions trying to convince the other 99% that they're populists.
They're not. They're garbage, and people who vote for these despicable oafs need to take a long hard look in the mirror. These jerks and their minions had full control of the country for 4 years and they nearly destroyed it.
It's time to wake up.
