If...

Lots coming up including an unprecedented, coordinated U.S. Army Times, Air Force Times, Navy Times and Marines Corp Times editorial Monday morning that will simultaneously call for Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld's resignation.

That's the same day BushCo is expecting to trumpet Saddam Hussein's court sentence. The only question is if news of Baghdad exploding into bloodbath will reach our papers, talk radio, and cable TV news by Tuesday morning.

Then there's the neocons turning on el Presidente that blew their bullshit dreams, the convicted Abu Ghraid offender (military dog handling) who was just almost sent back in, and the treason of computer voting.

But what caught my imagination tonight is a piece from two Washington Monthly collections, one a set of expert advice articles if the GOP manages to hold onto our government through Tuesday, a second set similarly expert advice on what the Dems should do if they win.

I haven't read all of them, I haven't even read half, but the one that caught my eye and the one I think anyone who's made it this far into this post should read in it's entirety is John Nichols' "Be bipartisan: Impeach Bush".

Turns out he's written a book about the history and uses of impeachment, and the article becomes statesmanlike in short order, not what you're expecting.

As I said, "If..." Because there's no slacking off now and letting those weasels slip back in. This has to be a tough, vicious, overvote election if we want a hope in hell of not having it snatched or stolen away this time.

If...
