At a private reception held at the White House with newly elected lawmakers shortly after the election, Bush asked Webb how his son, a Marine lance corporal serving in Iraq, was doing.
Webb responded that he really wanted to see his son brought back home, said a person who heard about the exchange from Webb.
"I didn't ask you that, I asked how he's doing," Bush retorted, according to the source.
Senator Elect Jim Webb (D-VA) not only has a son serving while the Bush daughters go AWOL in Argentina rather than volunteering for their daddy's deathwar, he has a long military career that puts El W's spotty national guard record to shame.
Who the hell is George Walker Bush Jr. to speak like that to such a man?
Is asswipery an impeachable offense?
Here's to Webb, a completely unique and actually straight-talking "politician" (at least in our time), giving him bloody hell once he's sworn into his Senate seat.
Maybe it'll be like they say in the movie trailers:
This time it's personal.

You have to love the way el Presidouche is now pointing the finger at al-Maliki -- the puppet he helped install! Just like he admonishes Webb for asking about the welfare of his son. When will it dawn on Bush that the blame for all of it -- from the tens of thousands killed, to civil war, to voter discontent -- is due to his actions. Look in the mirror, warmonger; there is no one else to point the finger at.
Bush will never, ever, ever take personal responsibility for anything wrong. Ever.
Check out will's oped in today's WAPO if you want to see a real asshole.
